    Features of Lavina Machines

• All LAVINA models except the corner edger can be used for wet or dry applications. The WET set-up is enhanced by a self-leveling skirt which prevents slurry from spraying out; a centrifugal force that removes the slurry under the machine and ensures a clean contact between the diamonds and the floor, and water cycles that deposit the water on the periphery of the working area. The Velcro backed metal bonds tools must be used for WET applications ONLY! The DRY set-up is also complemented by a self-leveling skirt which prevents dirt/dust from spraying out and two hoses, located at the bottom of the machine that absorb the accumulated dust and ensure a clean contact between the diamonds and the floor surface. Metal bond tools for DRY applications must be bolted or welded to the plates!

• LAVINA floor polishing machines are planetary movement machines featuring 1, 3 and 6 heads. The planetary motion results from the friction between the tools and the floor, which allows the tools to spin either clockwise or counterclockwise. This way the tool will not force itself against the surface’s resistance. Instead, it alternates directions and jumps from high to low points rather than from low to high points. This misapplication can cause damages. On most other machines the motion is forced through the motor and this causes tool and/or gear damage as well as a lip chip.

• All LAVINA models are single-belt models. The single-belt feature enables the center of gravity to stay low on the machine increasing its stability.

• All LAVINA models have hourly meters that keep track of the working hours.

• On all LAVINA machines the tools touch the rim of the skirt. This way, the only distance between the tools and the edge of the working surface is 5mm (width of the skirt). Most other machines have a two inch gap. The small 5mm distance keeps operators from having to do the edges by hand or with an additional machine, thus saving them time and money.

• All LAVINA models can be easily disassembled and transported.

• All machines have Soft Start for a smooth and gradual increase of the speed and RPMs.

• The night vision light of our LAVINA machines enables users to enhance the visibility of the working area and direct the light as needed. Note: This light does not replace the regular overhead light.

• Adjustable handles with 6 different positions add to the comfort of the operator and assist with the working visibility.

• The vacuum hose opening is located on the upper part of the machine and provides for a clear working area.

• The motors are bolted on the surface and can be easily removed for inspection or repair.
